the task of using creatively the nuclear power in the atom without, will never be complete without first containing and transcending the nuclear power within the heart and soul of the individual atom: these two discoveries, atom within and atom without, are aspects of one another in the sum of the same greater thing. to know this and assume individual responsibility for their effects in our own lives is to be modern; to know only one and not the other is to be partial and archaic and a danger to creation.
